01What this policy covers
This policy covers the RIDA documentation website operated by Qasra Foundation. It describes this website, not every application built with the RIDA library. Developers who use RIDA are responsible for their own privacy notices and data handling.
02No accounts, uploads, or advertising trackers
This website does not offer user registration, payment checkout, or dataset uploads. Its examples are illustrative, and the field-reader demonstration runs locally with example values. We have not installed advertising trackers, visitor analytics scripts, or session-recording tools. The website does not ask for your datasets, passwords, or encryption keys.
03Your light and dark preference
The website saves your selected theme as rida-theme in your browser’s local storage. This value is light or dark; it is not a user identifier and is not automatically sent to our server. If storage is unavailable, the website uses an available default or device preference. You can remove the preference by clearing this site’s storage in your browser. We do not set application cookies. Earlier versions used a theme cookie; clearing this site’s cookies removes any remaining old preference cookie.
04Technical information needed to serve pages
Hosting is provided by Vercel. Serving a page requires processing technical request information, such as your IP address, requested URL, browser headers, and request time. Hosting and security systems may process or retain technical logs for delivery, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. Therefore, no application tracking does not mean that no technical information is processed. We do not use these requests to build advertising profiles.
05When you contact us
If you email [email protected], we receive the address you use and the contents of your message. We use that information to answer your request and manage related correspondence. Do not send private encryption keys or confidential datasets. We do not sell personal information or use contact messages for advertising profiles.
06Providers, links, and international processing
Vercel and our email provider may process information needed to deliver the website and correspondence. Provider infrastructure may be located in other countries. External links, including npm, PyPI, GitHub, and storage-provider websites, lead to services with their own privacy policies. We do not control their data practices. See Vercel’s Privacy Notice for its handling of technical information.
07Retention and security
The local theme preference remains until you change it or clear browser storage. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to respond, maintain relevant records, or meet applicable obligations, and removed when no longer needed. Hosting log retention depends on the provider’s configuration and applicable requirements; we do not promise a fixed retention period here. We use reasonable safeguards, but cannot guarantee absolute security.
08Your choices and requests
You can browse without creating an account, clear browser storage, and choose whether to email us or follow external links. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information we hold, or to raise a complaint with the relevant authority. Contact [email protected]; we may need to confirm that a request concerns your information.
09Changes and contact
We will update this page when our website practices change. The date above identifies the current notice. For privacy questions, contact Qasra Foundation at [email protected].
