01About this website
Qasra Foundation provides this website to explain RIDA, its file format, and its Python and Node.js packages. By using the website, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you disagree, discontinue use. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
02Documentation, not a managed hosting subscription
This website is a documentation resource. It does not provide a dataset-upload service, customer billing dashboard, or paid RIDA hosting plan. Former service plans shown on the Purpose page are historical examples and are not available for purchase here. You arrange storage, delivery, and application hosting with your chosen providers.
03The software license applies separately
Availability without a RIDA subscription does not make RIDA public-domain software or remove its license conditions. The RIDA Proprietary License included with the edition you install governs software use, modification, attribution, and redistribution. It allows use as an integrated component of free or paid applications subject to its conditions; standalone redistribution is restricted. Read your package’s LICENSE before distributing it. These website terms do not grant additional software redistribution rights.
04Your data and encryption keys
The software license does not apply to data files you create with RIDA. You remain responsible for your data, your permission to use it, your hosting settings, backups, and encryption keys. Keep keys private when your access design requires it. Encryption does not revoke a copied key or replace every authorization control. This website does not receive or store your dataset or key through its examples.
05Examples, benchmarks, and cost estimates
Examples demonstrate how the format works and must be adapted to your data and environment. Timings describe particular test workloads, not a guaranteed response time. Hosting figures are estimates rather than quotes, guarantees of savings, or promises of net profit. Provider rates, request counts, HTTP overhead, caching, taxes, and account minimums can change your total cost. Confirm your provider’s current pricing before purchasing.
06Acceptable use
Use the website lawfully. Do not attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its availability, introduce malicious content, or misrepresent ownership of RIDA. Do not use the website or software to process or publish data you have no right to use. Your applications must comply with applicable law and their own service-provider terms.
07External services
Links to registries, repositories, and hosting providers are supplied for convenience. Their terms, availability, security controls, and charges are their responsibility. A link or technical compatibility example is not a promise of endorsement, partnership, or continued support by that provider.
08Availability and responsibility
The website, documentation, and examples are provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted access, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free results. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses arising from reliance on examples, unavailable services, lost keys, or your hosting configuration. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
09Updates and privacy
Documentation and these terms may be updated as the project develops. The date above identifies this version. How this website handles information is described in the Privacy Policy. Contact Qasra Foundation at [email protected] if you have questions.
